ELKU is a family-owned business based in Vlotho-Exter that has been manufacturing plastic components for household appliances in large production runs for over 35 years. As the head of the injection molding department, you will ensure that production runs smoothly shift after shift: You will manage and supervise our machine setup technicians, be responsible for production quality, and work with the development and planning teams to further refine our production processes.
Your Tasks
- Coordination of the shift and production processes
- Management, supervision, and scheduling of fitters
- Responsibility for Production Operations
- Proactive shaping and further development of the manufacturing areas
- Collaborating on the introduction of new products, processes, and concepts
- Monitoring production quality, analyzing defects, and developing process improvements
- Collaboration with the Development and Planning Departments
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training as a process mechanic or plastics moulder specializing in plastics and rubber technology
- Certification as a Master Craftsman or Technician in Plastics Processing
- Several years of experience in plastics processing and the injection molding process
- Strong analytical skills and excellent planning and organizational abilities
- A person with strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to assert oneself
- Ideally, knowledge of ultrasonic welding
- A strong commitment to quality combined with the ability to independently analyze problems and errors
- CAD skills are preferred (Autodesk Inventor)
